It's inside the fuel tank.
Remember! No smoking! No open flames/ sparks! Adequate ventilation!
To find it:
Lift up the rear seat and open the inspection cover under the rear seat.
To remove it:
Relieve the fuel system pressure and disconnect the negative battery cable.
Disconnect the send and return fuel lines from the fuel pump and unplug the electrical connections from the fuel gauge and pump.
Remove the six mounting bolts from the fuel pump assembly and raise it out of the fuel tank. (Make sure you have a replacement seal/gasket, first!)
If you think it's not working, double-check fuses, first... this might save you a couple of hundred dollars!

Yeah, it's in the fuel tank itself. Nissan reccomends that the fuel pump, sensor, and filter never be replaced and the part comes from a dealer only. Good Luck!
