in the fuel tank. True, the fuel pump is in the fuel tank, connected to the sending unit. It is a separate part, so you have to remove the sending unit, to get to the fuel pump. It is located in the top of the tank. You will have to either drop the tank, or some have been known to cut a hole in the floor to access it.
