ive found the fuse box in my 1988 marquis behind the plastic under the steering wheel, at the bottom there is 2 plastic Philips screws, give them both half a turn, pop it out and there it is, but where do u find a diagram for the box at?
Upper most left 20 amp fuse in fuse box, located above emergency brake pedal. Also controls emergency flashers according to Mercury manual. Should be extra 20 amp fuse and fuse puller on fuse box cover.
In a 1998 Mercury Grand Marquis ( fuse # 16 is a 20 amp fuse for the cigarette lighter and emergency flasher relay ) in the fuse box below and to the left of the steering wheel , by the brake pedal ( it has a cover on it )
The fuse box diagram for the 1992-1994 Mercury Grand Marquis can be found here: http://www.autozone.com/az/cds/en_us/0900823d/80/19/31/35/0900823d80193135/repairInfoPages.htm Just scroll down and click on Figure 4.
the fuse box should be under the dash next to the steering wheel behind the plastic panel held up by 3 Phillips head screws 2 on the right and 1 on the left of the steering wheel, remove the screws and viola you found the fusebox
