If they both stopped working at the same time - check the fuse. Fuse # 20 in the underdash fuse panel.

If you pull the cover off the fuse panel and turn it over, there is a diagram for all the fuses on the back of it.
In the under-hood fuse box - it is Fuse #8.
Unless it is a blown fuse, whatever the problem may be, it will have to be first accessed by removing the interior door panel to get at it.
I have a 2000 CR-V and on mine it is Fuse #32 (7.5 amps) located in the interior fuse panel which is behind the little plastic pull-out door on the lower left side of the dash panel. I do not believe there was much of a change between these years and yours may well be the identical. This information is also located in the Owner's Manual.

Yes , the 2000 Honda CRV has an interference engine ( according to Gates - they manufacture timing belts etc. )
Replacing the door lock actuator in a 2008 Honda CRV requires first removing the door panel from the inside. When this is done, the electronic feature can be bypassed leaving manual locks as the result. Removing the fuse is not advisable as vehicle access will be denied.
