unlock the car and push the gas tank lid.
on your driver side door there should be a button next to the gas cap opener. lift that button as if u would for the gas cap opener.
The same as a manual can opener: opening the lid on a can.
The remote gas tank lid opener is located inside the car on the left side of the driver seat. It should be marked w/ the gas tank picture on it. Lift up to open the gas tank lid.
There is no opener as such. If you check, you will find that when the car doors are unlocked, so is the gas cap door, and vice-versa. When the car doors are locked, so is the gas cap door. They run off the same electrical air pump - vaccum line system.
A can opener opens "tin cans" (though they do not contain much tin now in the manufacturing process).A metal can opener first punctures the lid of the can, then is manually clamped down onto the lip of the can. The lip is the raised edge around the lid. The manual opener then works from a human turning a wheel on the opener. This action begins to "cut" the metal on the inside of the lip / outsider edge of the lid. The opener contains a magnet that attaches to the lid, so when it is completely cut, the lid can be lifted off. The edges of the lid may be ragged; it can cut skin. The lid is thrown away; the food is removed and the can is thrown away.An electric can opener operates on the same principles: using a lever, clamp, magnet, wheel, and a turning action. The main difference is less work for a human. Some men or military personnel use a knife with a second edge on it. This uses manual force to puncture the lid and to go around the lid. The edge is very jagged. A knife carries more risks.
you open the gas tank lid, take off the cap and insert the gas pump..wtf
Press the button next to driver's seat you fool. Once you press it, it will open the lid to the fuel tank. This way, you don't have to get out of the car when you go to the gas station.
If you are locking your car before trying to take off the cap, this is the problem. The cap won't come off if the car is locked.
Open center consoleLift gas cap release, so the gas lid will pop up.Unscrew gas cap.Pump fuelMake sure to tighten the gas cap securely. Miatas are sensitive to this and air leaks will raise a Check Engine Light.
A faucet handle and jar lid are simple machines.
Where the arm rest is, theres a door, open that door to find a gas lid lever and pull it up
