where is the gearbox filler plug for 2001 citreon relay 2.8 tdi
on the gearbox
If you are referring to the automatic transmission - - looking at the engine compartment from the grille area - it is way down on the lower left side of the engine. Look hard and you'll find the dipstick and filler tube down there.
oil fill on a 7.3 diesel is on the passenger side of engine about 1/3 of engine length back from the front of engine this filler has a black screw on cap with a picture of an oil can
Filler/level plug is located at the front side of the gearbox
umm..in the gearbox. filler hole is on the side. white plastic cap, easiest to spot from underneath.
fill through the gearbox dipstick tube until correct level achieved
you phrrt on them
You have to fill the gearbox through the reversing light sensor.Alternatively you can remove the fifth gear cover on the side of the gearbox and fit a filler plug there, making it much easier to do an oil change, which I would recommend as these gearboxes are prone to fifth gear failure.Use full synthetic oil and add a teflon additive. Finally stick a powerful magnet on the cover,it may save you a fortune if the fifth gear disentegrates stopping all the mashed up metal going into the main gearbox.
You Have to remove the gearbox oil sump than you will see a square oil filter.
behind nsf wheel on end of gearbox end cover 19mmplug head
if you sit at the front of the car the filler hole will be on the right just at the back of the box.
