Follow the glow plug supply wire from the engine to the firewall. The small box mounted there has the fuse mounted under the cover.

The 1991 Dodge diesel truck glow plug relay is located in the fuse box. The fuse box is located behind the battery box. The glow plug relay will be in the right upper corner of the box.

There is no fuse, just a relay. On the w126, it's located on the driver's side fender well between the shock strut and the headlight assembly.

where is the glow plug fuse on a1995 masda bongo

Yes the glow plug fuse is the R2 relay in the fuse box, there is a fusible link as well that is the thick red one coming out the front of the fuse box

Glow is probably for "glow plug" which is a diesel engine application. If your vehicle isn't diesel, it had that option as an engine, so that fuse would be found empty in your vehicle. If your vehicle is a diesel, a blown fuse here would lead to a "hard to start"or "no start" issue.

one fuse box is under your steering weel and the other one is behing your glow door, you can check the fuses underneat or removing all the screws inside glow box you can find 4 fuses and 6 relays

Depends on which diesel you are talking about. A 1993 or earlier the glow plugs located outside edge of the heads below the valve cover. 1994 through early 2003, the 7.3 turbo diesel engines the glow plugs are located in the heads but under the valve cover. You will need to remove the valve cover to retrieve the glow plugs. Basically the non turbo diesels have the glow plugs outside edge of the heads. In all turbo diesels you have to remove the valve covers to get to the glow plugs.

the dodge/ cummins engine does not have glow plugs

User Avatar

Yes it can be the only one. Mercedes uses an over voltage protection relay (also has 1 ten amp fuse) instead of a fuse box to protect most of the engine electrics. that is the fuse box under the hood,,,, there is also a fuse for the glow plugs, is that what your looking for?

You have a problem in the glow plug system. You will need to test for a shorted glow plug by making a test harness with a 15 amp fuse in it and applying 12 volts to each glow plug to see which blows the fuse. You will also have to replace the glow plug module/relay which is loacted under the battery shelf under the hood. Be very careful when trying to remove the glow plugs. Only attempt with a fully warm engine ( drive it for 30 minutes first ). Do not try to force them to turn, they will break. You have a problem in the glow plug system. Its behind the glow comportment inside the dash bort remove the glow comportment with screw driver....thanks

Glow plugs don't necessarily have a fuse. They do have fusible links though. That is a wire with a smaller gauge wire in line that will burn should a short occur. On a ford they are usually near the glow plug controller. However all the glow plug wires on idi fords are made of the fusible link wire so they could realistically burn in 2 anywhere.
