I'm unsure if the GT Model is different, but on my 2004 Grand Am SE 1 w/ the 3.4 V6, It cuts it at 106 mph, but on my ex's 2000 SE w/ V6, it was 110~111. It has no governor. Speed is controlled by the ECU. To change it you would have to reprogram the ECU.
To disable a kill switch the wiring would have to be modified to bypass the switch. This is not advisable as the switch is a safety feature.
No.
I own a '97 Pontiac grand am where would i find the spark plugs so i can change them?
No it wouldn't the only thing that would fit would be before 997 from 1997-2001 u can interchange
probly not
Yes It would if its 2.3L engine size. Also, fits Oldsmobile Achieva of same year. Thanks
yes it should bolt right up as well as the original motor and tranny
the steering wheel..
The engine speed governor is part of the engine computer programming. You would need to have a way of reprogramming it to change.
Why wouldn't it? There is NO difference between a 1999 and a 2000, as of right this second i have a 1999 Pontiac grand am with a 3.4 liter (what your looking at right now) and built it from ground up. I know plenty about cars.
Check your fuse.
