The hard drive disk is well.. obviously inside the computer but it tends to be more towards the bottom of the front panel.. below the CD-ROM drives and Floppy drives. It will generally be the bottom one. If you're going to remove it make sure that you are EXTREMELY careful with it. Try to wear a grounding bracelet or use some sort of grounding method when messing around with the inside of your computer. The most common method without having to buy anything is simply having one hand on the computer case. DO NOT drop your hard drive and do not place around magnets or water. DO NOT TAKE apart as this will ruin it. The hard drive is obviously one of the most important parts of the computer and must be treated very carefully.

∙ 15y agoIn desktop computer systems the hard disk may be located anywhere inside the case. Different manufacturers put them in different places, where ever is convenient to the design. However in most cases, the standard place to put the hard disk is towards the front of the case usually mounted below the CDROM drive.
