The hard drive disk is well.. obviously inside the computer but it tends to be more towards the bottom of the front panel.. below the CD-ROM drives and Floppy drives. It will generally be the bottom one. If you're going to remove it make sure that you are EXTREMELY careful with it. Try to wear a grounding bracelet or use some sort of grounding method when messing around with the inside of your computer. The most common method without having to buy anything is simply having one hand on the computer case. DO NOT drop your hard drive and do not place around magnets or water. DO NOT TAKE apart as this will ruin it. The hard drive is obviously one of the most important parts of the computer and must be treated very carefully.
In desktop computer systems the hard disk may be located anywhere inside the case. Different manufacturers put them in different places, where ever is convenient to the design. However in most cases, the standard place to put the hard disk is towards the front of the case usually mounted below the CDROM drive.
The internal HDD is inside the Cabinet of the Computer, generally fitted above Floppy Disk Drive & below CD/DVD Drive.
Most hard drives are located in shelves, or "bays" inside the case of the computer.
Hard drives are located in the CPU cabinet. They are usually screwed in the front panel of of the cabinet. And you can locate hard drives in My Computer.
Inside the case.
it is somewhere in the computer
Actually, the external hard drive is not located in the computer. It is an external hard drive, which means it is on the outside of the computer. It is plugged into the computer's USB port with a cord.
Format hard drive/s
This is a partition on your hard drive.
It depends. On a laptop the hard drive is built in, but in a desktop PC the hard drive is a removable component inside the computer tower. You can also purchase an external hard drive that is completely separate from the computer and connects via USB, an external S/ATA port or Firewire.
The Hard Drive is located in the main shell of the computer. in a desktop pc, it is usually below the disk drives, but on a lap top it is located where you put your palms when you type.
An internal hard-drive fits into a bay inside the computer's tower. A power cable from the power unit is plugged into the hard-drive. A data cable plugs the hard-drive into the motherboard.
Most are installed inside the computer. Depending on which type of computer you have (Desktop, Tower, Laptop) it may or may not be easily accessible.
hard drive on the computer, it does the programming
Hard Drive E
You can add as many harddrives as you want to. As long as there is enough room.
Your question is not very clear. If you are referring to the screen (monitor) of the system, it displays the graphics and the interface. If you are referring to the actual computer (most often called the tower) it holds the hard drive, video & sound cards, all of the wires, processors, and is where the power button is located.
The two terms are completely different. Your "Tower" is what your actual system ( computer ) is typically reffered to. A Hard drive is a small piece of hardware about 1 inch tall, 4 inches wide, and 6 inches long that sits in your "tower" and stores all of your information. Consider this like a gigantic floppy disk that you can not remove. Altough these terms are completely different, many people refer to the "Tower" as the "Hard drive," as incorrect as it may be.
