The switch is located in the steering column. Your signal light/wiper arm is part of it. Remove the lower/upper plastic covers (three Phillips screws from bottom) Two torx screws hold the switch to the column. Un plug wire harnesses and remove.

On my 1995 , both the original and the replacement multifunction switch would sometimes make a buzzing noise when HOLDING the turn signal lever to indicate a turn/lane change .
