Jeep Wagoneer was created in 1963.
It is under the dash, on the driver side.
Follow the upper radiator back to the engine. The hose is attached to the thermostat housing on the engine side.
if it is an automatic use ATF + 4
according to the owners manual for my 1987 Grand Wagoneer, it holds 20.3 gallons
On a 87 Jeep Wagoneer Limited 4x4, 242cid 4.0L, M.O.H.V. - M, it is located under the kick plate on the passenger side. Unscrew the plate and you will see the vacuum motor (which looks like a flying saucer) and to the left of it you will see the resistor. Unplug the four prong wire, and unscrew the two screws holding it in the duct, and lift out. (Takes about ten minutes to remove)
The small Cherokee based Wagoneer is a 5 on 4 1/2" and the Grand Wagoneer is a 6 on 5 1/2" bolt pattern...
ATF +3 originally, the current replacement is ATF +4 (Jeep/AMC/Chrysler)
