There is a filter housing on the right side of the transmission just in front of the rear axle. Unscrew bold in center of housing to remove, BUT FIRST remove housing drain plug or you will have oil running your arm. Filters are usually available at TSC. Be careful when reinstalling to get the gasket seated before tightening housing.
Just found out that it is an option to put filters on the cx model when buying!
It is straight down from the front of the seat. you have to reach it from under the tractor. it is in front of the rear axle hard to see.

That filter is located just ahead of the seat, but under the tractor, it looks like an oil filter.
SBA340500960 is the part number for the Case/New Holland hydraulic filter. 86018758 and 86989735 appear to be compatible, as well.
under the seat were do you add the hydraulic fluid
in the bottom of the sump under the seat.You have to split the tractor in 2 at the transmission to change it.Good luck it about a 6 hour job
Filter needs cleaning filter needs changing and also hydraulic oil. on my 1975 830 their is also a strainer that needs to be cleaned with diesel fuel. it is under the tractor and has a allen head that you take loose to remove it.
