I would believe the coil is located (LOOKING from the front of the VAN ) to the right of
the Carburator and is somewhat (NOT easily) accessable from that location /
I would make sure that :
a) battery is Fully charged
b) good steady crank signal
c) starter is NOT drawing all the current /volts /amps from the ignition system
My coil went in the boonies 10 miles to parts store (after having a $400.00 tune up???)
the replacement coil NOT OEM or brand name and hopefully this will get you running
again.

It is advisable to have the ignition coil grounded on a 2003 Chevy Astro. This should especially be done when you are working on spark plugs and wires.Ê
No electrial spark or fire at the plugs.
hope this helps.
Unplugging the coil wire and not grounding it, yes that can damage the coil.
On top of the RH Side of the Engine. You will need to remove the engine cover from the inside of the van to get to it. Just trace the coil wire from the distributor.
The 2002 Toyota Tacoma ignition coil is located on the firewall in the engine compartment. The coil will be on the drivers side of the firewall.
Its right above the ignition coil. Infact you have to remove it first to remove the ignition coil.
That is the ignition coil.
well it is the bottom that goes on a ignition coil and it is locoed
yes, they are in the distributor. Take the cap off, remove the rotor and there it is. The problem could be a bad coil
The coil is attached to the top of the distributor cap.
check your ignition coil, if it's not coming out of there you need to look into a new ignition coil , check ignition circuit next
