Take your distributor cap off but leave the wires on it. check the rotor,(usually black peice with a metal strip on top) or you can take a peice of emory cloth and clean the contact points located under the rotor. If you remove the rotor make sure to put it back on in the same psition you took it of at.WELL THE FIRS THING YOU NEED TO KNOW IS ,IS IT POINTS IN A 1970 OR DID SOMEONE PUT A HEI DISTRIBUTOR IN IT?
