the knock sensor is most likely underneath the intake manifold. i know that is where it is on a 2002 4.6 .
On a 2002 Ford E-150 : The Mass Air Flow Sensor is INSIDE a round shaped plastic housing located between the engine air filter and the engine air intake tube
it is located driver side back of the block behind the upper plenum good luck cant find them any more

On a 2002 Ford E-150 : Bank 1 is the passenger side of the engine ( V6 and V8 engines ) Sensor 1 would be close to the engine BEFORE the exhaust enters the catalytic converter ( upstream sensor )

With mucho effort, that's how. The sensor is behind the intake manifold, throttle body ect, all of which must be removed. Labor alone will be 5-6 hundred , knock sensor another 150 or so. Good luck.
