the light switch for the glove compartment is always going to be in the lining of the box. just look for a hole in the lining or even something that sticks out and the door has to come into contact with it, then again maybe there's something that sticks out from the door and when the door is closed pushes the button in to shut it off, so just look carefully ok.

Break light fuse
Because your switch is bad, replace the light assembly
the Lincoln continental shares the same dash with the mark series. The continental had a 2.3 turbo as an available option.
Where is abs fuse at
The engine immobilizer key switch is situated within the glove compartment. where in the glove compartment? there is only the light fixture.
by the light istself there is an ON/OFF switch.
If the light is on and there are no codes, you have a computer failure.
its behind the glove box on passenger side a real sod to get at as the glove box is not removable there is a pull out plug at the back of glove box about size of 50p and you can see switch through this hole i used a long nosed pliers to turn switch and release hope this helps
I believe from 94 to 02 Lincolns do not have a light under the hood.
I was looking at the 1998 Lincoln Continental owners manual and what I can make out is that you can shut the traction control system off using the message center ( but unfortunately the manual doesn't explain how to do that ) At least I couldn't find it The T/C OFF light will appear above the engine temperature gauge You can view the 1998 Lincoln Continental owners manual online at : www . motorcraft service . com ( no spaces ) Click on Owner Guides
