Lint is usually seen in your washing or drying machine. If you see lint and wonder what that is its just that youre clothes rub against other clothes and that creates little dust mites that is called lint
It saves waste water backing up to or from the washing machine.
goes on your clothes
no, in fact most plumbing codes require a 2" drain/trap for washing maching drain.
Either have the washing machines pump it up Or use a sump designed to handle washing machine waste lint, volume etc
Perhaps you left them in the washing machine overnight? I'd wash them again in HOT water, and then dry them as soon as they come out of the washing machine. If this is a frequent occurrence, I'd recommend that you check out the internal lint filter.
To clean the lint trap in your dryer, follow these steps: Locate the lint trap: The lint trap is usually located inside the dryer drum, near the door or on the top of the dryer. It is a screen or mesh filter designed to catch lint and debris from your clothes. Remove lint from the trap: Pull out the lint trap from its housing. It may be a small rectangular or square-shaped screen. Use your fingers or a soft brush to gently remove the lint and debris accumulated on the screen. Ensure you remove all visible lint. Clean the trap with water (optional): If you notice that the lint trap is greasy or has residue build-up, you can wash it with warm water and mild soap. Gently scrub the trap with a soft brush or sponge to remove any dirt or sticky residue. Rinse it thoroughly and let it dry completely before putting it back in the dryer. Vacuum the area: After cleaning the lint trap, use a vacuum cleaner with a narrow attachment to remove any lint or debris that may have accumulated in the lint trap housing or the surrounding areas. Reinsert the lint trap: Once the lint trap is clean and dry, slide it back into its housing or place it back on top of the dryer. Ensure it fits securely and is positioned correctly. It's important to clean the lint trap after every load of laundry to maintain the efficiency and safety of your dryer. Regularly removing lint helps prevent clogs and reduces the risk of dryer fires. Additionally, remember to check and clean the dryer vent duct and exhaust vent periodically for proper airflow and to prevent lint buildup.
Either dried out P-trap or possibly no p-trap or break in drain line after p-trap
Because the washing machine drains down the same main drain and it's suction as it goes by is trying to suck the water out of the under sink U trap.
......before, but I would not recommend direct drain. The washing machine hose must extend up above the flood rim of the washing machine before entering the drain. If not, there is a possibility of sewage backing up into your washing machine.
Fabric is made up twisted fibers... In the dryer those fibers untwist. Air flows though the dryer and there is a mesh screen (Lint Trap)Those loose fibers collect in the lint trap. The fiber wants to stick together. This clump is lint.
Chances are there is no lint trap on your washer. Do you have a model and serial #?You have one on you "DRYER" but not your washer,i dont think.
