If you are looking at the motor from the front of the car, look to the right of the motor in front of and below the brake fluid well. you will see 2 valves it is the smaller of the two. I knew nothing about putting freon in my uncle told me how. it was simple and didnt see where you could make mistakes as to which to put it in, as the hose only fit on one of them

What refrigerant does the 1995 Chevy Lumina use?

This will be listed somewhere on the unit or in the owner's manual. 1995 was the last year of production of R12 so your car may have R12 or R134. If it needs service, this is not a DIY job. You have neither the expertise not the tools to do this safely and correctly. Take it to a pro.

Where is the low pressure side to recharge the AC in a 97 Chevy Lumina and does it use the 134?

If this is similar to the 92 the the low side valve is under the air filter box. Remove the two bolts holding that. It is r134 freon. Add enough so the dryer under the filter box begins sweating. If it leaks out again in less than 3 months you might ought to find the leaking component - tho a can of r134 every three months is tolerable. There is a leak stopper available for small leaks. Update: Just performed this on my 1998 Chevy Lumina. The valve is still under and behind the air filter box on the driver's side of the vehicle. You can see it without removing the box, but to attach the r134 can, you will almost definitely have to remove the box to have any room to work. There are two valves down there. The low pressure one is the larger diameter metal pipe that is underneath the smaller pipe.
