it is hidden in the back under the black box of wires. . . just follow the silver pipe to the rear that is attached to the easily accesed high pressure valve and you will see it clearly. . . you have to be standing in the front of the Expedition looking straight back and low (ref: 2002 EB)
R134a
The 1997 Ford F1 50 pickup truck low pressure recharge port is located on the air conditioner compressor. The low pressure recharge port will be labeled as such.
It's a gas, not a fluid, and it would be R134a.
You can buy a r134a recharge kit from your local auto parts store. The instructions are in the box. Pretty simple really.
It does use R134a. If it's completely out, you'll probably need 2 cans minimum.
Should be a valve on the firewall on the passenger side you need a a/c kit
Low pressure port. BTW, it contains no Freon. It contains R134a refrigerant.
You can tell by looking at the high and low pressure service ports. The old r12 ports were smaller and threaded. The r134 are larger and are a quick-disconnect. Yes, a 1997 Town and Country uses R134a.
You can find the 1997 Mercury Cougar low pressure port on top of the air conditioner compressor. The low pressure port will have a blue top.
Follow the larger line from the a/c compressor
The 1997 Honda Accord air conditioning low pressure port is located on the top of the air conditioner compressor. You can recharge your air conditioning systems through the low pressure port.
