The 1988 Jeep Cherokee air conditioning low pressure port is located on the air conditioning compressor. The low pressure port will be on the right hand side of the compressor.
The low pressure service port is located on the suction line near the evaporator at the rear of the engine compartment.
At passenger side of engine, around coolant overflow bottle. Piece of tubing, with pressure port sticking out. Usually has cover, with L marked on it.
Jeep Grand Cherokee cooling system through the low port on the air conditioning compressor. Connect your Freon bottle to the port and discharge.
if your talking about the a/c it is the one closest to the dryer or the round cilnder that your a/c hoses run into.
Should be the larger hose coming from the compressor sorry, 1998 in line 6, there are 2 a/c ports on this jeep. one is on the small steel line the other is at the side of compressor with a cap on the port which has a ..H.. on the cap.
The 2000 Jeep Cherokee OBD 2 port is on rear of lower left edge of dash
witch is the low side on a 95 jeep 4.0
The OBD port is under the dash on the driver side.
both hi and low should be on top of the compressor (if the same as 88 4.0).....hope this helps, Mike
If you are looking for the Low Side Pressure Port for the Air Conditioning System of a 1996 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo, it is located in the back of the engine compartment on the passenger side almost in the corner, sticking up behind the Coolant reservoir. There may be black cap screwed onto it. The port and the line (hose) it is connected to is unpainted aluminum. This is where I've recharged my AC and flipped the bird to Houston's merciless heat.
A 1995 Jeep uses R134a, not R12. The caps are grey or black.
