The 98 Mitsubishi Montero has two possible low side ac port locations. One is on the drivers side firewall, the other possibility is on the passenger side frame rail, below the air filter box.
The fuel injectors on a 2001 Mitsubishi Montero Sport are located on the top, back side of the engine. They connect directly to the cylinder and provide fuel for combustion.
Follow the larger hose from the compressor-maybe near the drier on the passenger side firewall
On the driver side close to the floor all the way to the left.
It is located under the dash next to fire wall on driver side
Most adjustment screws are located on the top and side of the light housing in 98 Montero Sport. They should be clearly marked. If you cannot locate the screws, check your owner's manual. It should be noted that some manufacturers have located the adjustment screws in the engine compartment behind the headlight housing
There are two fuse boxes on the montero. The high amperage fuse box is located under the hood, near the battery. The other, interior fuse panel is located underneath the driver's side of the dash board on the left side of the steering wheel.
You have to remove the skid plate to get to it but it is on the passanger side right next to the transmission. Towards the passager seat under the vechile.

Doesn't seem to have a fuse. Does seem to have a fuse relay, which I believe is located in the right side (passenger) kick panel.
you do not charg off the high side you charg off the low side locateted on the passenger side next to the evaporator
If it's the same 3.0L engine they put in the 2001 Montero Sport, the alternator is (looking from the front of the engine into the bay) located on the left side of the motor, toward the radiator, down low. It's straight below the power steering pump. There should be a belt that runs from the crankshaft to the alternator. Good luck... I'm on my third in 3 months.
