its probably the main relay that needs to be replaced
under the coin holder next to the ecu chips
The fuel pump relay is the same thing as the "Main relay" located on the left side of the steering wheel underneath the panel. Take the panel off and the relay is a black box.
check the main feed fusible link you cant go by visual inspection the fuse is inside the plastic case of the link where you cant see it I fought this problem for weeks and I replaced the fusible link and bingo problem solved!
main relay locationHere is a link that I believe will help you as it did me :) http://www.tegger.com/hondafaq/mainrelay.html Ours is a 1990 Honda Concerto. Right hand drive (Australia) The relay is located in the centre console behind the radio, so easily accessible.
They call it the main relay. Its on the driver's side under the dash. It's mounted on a support bar. It's black and square
The main relay and the fuel pump relay are the same. Take the fuel pump relay and swap it with the main relay and see if that will help you....
The problem is the Main Relay. The location of the relay makes it susceptible to failure when the sun is shining on it. A simple replacement of the Main Relay will fix this problem. If you want to replace it yourself, it is located under the dash, to the left of the steering column (hidden by silver cruise control box, which needs to be removed).
Main Relay, which is located under the dashboard to the left behind a big silver box, which is held by 10mm bolts.
its to the right of the fuses in the car under the dash its a little black box you will need a 10mm to take it off
