On the supercharged model (SSEi) there are 2 map sensors mounted on a bracket above the rear valve cover, connected to the vacuum hosing. Each sensor is held on the bracket with 2 screws. One sensor runs the supercharger boost gauge, the other is used for engine management. The electrical connectors are identical, and it doesn't matter which sensor they are attached to, other than the fact you don't want to attach them in such a way as to tension the wires and cause damage to the wiring harness or connectors. There is a lot of emissions wiring and hoses that can interfere with getting to the sensors, along with spark wires, etc, so they are not easy to see in poor lighting. They connect to the vacuum hoses underneath, so carefully remove them, as on a car this old, the rubber connector and stiff vacuum piping can be brittle from engine compartment heat, and tear or break very easily. Any vacuum leaks can cause high engine idle speeds along with other driveability problems.
where is a map sensor loction for 1994 ponatic bonneville?
You can find the PCV valve beneath the MAP sensor located in the plenum at the right front of the engine.
one location of map sensor on some pontisome Pontiac Bonneville,s map sensors are located in the vicinity of the pcv--valve, over top of it , depends on year.
sensor de map
i need a diagram of wher the map sensor is.
Small black box mounted onto the throttle body.
On a 98 it is in the plentum on the passenger side under the map sensor. turn the map sensor 90 degrees and pull straight up.pcv should be underneath.
about $50
were is my 1999 pontiac grand am map sensor location
First locate map sensor,on top of throttle body it's held on by two star bit set screws. After removing and then unplugging make sure surface is clean and add a little electrical contact lube. Install
The Map Sensor on that model is located on the passengers side of the motor. It is on top of the plastic intake plenum and has a plug in connector. It is labeled "Sensor Pressure and has a part number of 09359409". BE CAREFUL REMOVING IT. It has a rubber gasket so wiggle it out. I have broken a few trying to remove them. It is held in place with a plastic clip connector.
The PCV valve is located under the MAP sensor on a 1990 Pontiac Grand Prix. The MAP sensor is in the upper plenum.
