There were no half dollars minted at Philadelphia in 1964.During 1965, 1966 and 1967 there were no mint marks at all on any of the half dollars. Beginning in 1968 the mint mark was place on the obverse side (heads) of the coin and was located above the date and below Kennedy's neck. In 1968, 1969 and 1970, half dollars were only struck at Denver "D" and San Francisco "S". The "S" mint coins were proof strikes.
