Generally on dollars minted prior to 1878, the mintmark is located on the reverse [tails] side of the coin beneath the eagle. On Morgan Dollars minted from 1878 to 1921 the mintmark will still be on the reverse side of the coin but will be found beneath the wreath which is beneath the eagle. On Peace Dollars minted from 1921 to 1935 the mintmark is still on the reverse side of the coin but is located under the word "ONE" near the eagle's tail. On Eisenhower Dollars minted from 1971 to 1978 the mintmark is located above the date.

It should be located to the left on HALF DOLLAR on the tails side of the coin. Keep in mind if it was made at the Philadelphia mint it won't have a mintmark.

It would be located on the right of the quarter on the observe nest to the ponytail.
It's simple. A 1922 S silver dollar will have a S mintmark while a 1922 D silver ill have a D mintmark. The mintmark is located on the reserve below the word "ONE".
On a Morgan dollar, the mintmark should be located right below the center of the wreath, the minkmark is very small. if there is no mintmark, then it was minted in Philadelphia
Except on the 1964 issues where the mintmark was located on the reverse of the coin under the olive branch that the eagle is clutching. The mintmark is located on the front of the coin, below Kennedy's face and above the the space after the first 2 numbers of the year. Keep in mind that your coin may have no mintmark, in which case it was struck at the Philadelphia Mint.
