High Standard
Which model?
Sorry, no real public data on those. Prior to 1968 shotguns sold by sear did not have a serial number ( the 583.2087 is a model number)The model number 583.2085 was a High Standard shotgun in 20ga.that was made for Sears.Maybe yours is a High standard also. The model number is awful close.
High standard

Your shotgun was made by High standard in 1960 for Sears. The model 21 was first introduced by Sears in the spring of 1958.
High Standard shotguns made before 1969 did not have serial numbers except for some exported models and the Model 10-A bullpup. Your shotgun has no serial number.

Your 12 g pump shotgun was made for Sears by the High Standard Company- it was their Flite King model shotgun.
Might I suggest contacting 'High Standard'? Do a search for high standard firearms and get in touch with them.
You do not say which model shotgun you own?So I will say that if you have a winchester model 12 pump action shotgun then it was made in 1953.This is the only winchester model shotgun with a serial number that high.
Virtually impossible to id a model from just the sn. Actually the serial numbers can tell you a lot about the guns configuration when it shipped. In this case it is a model made specially for K-Mart and shipped 8/10/1972 as a catalog number 56500 ( the catalog number given to the K-Mart special model) which is most like a high Standard catalog number 8224.
