It depends on the region you are talking about. For most people in Mexico City, their preferred destination is the city and resort of Acapulco. People on the western region of the country are more likely to go on vacation to Puerto Vallarta, Manzanillo or Mazatlan. For those in the northern portion of Mexico (close to the US-Mexico border), they would include Los Cabos or Ensenada among their favorites. People in the southern states would be more likely to chose between Puerto Escondido, Huatulco or Zihuatanejo. Finally, those in the Yucatan peninsula would prefer to vacation on the Mayan Riviera, Cancun or Cozumel.
