how do you mount a safty switch on the clutch 84 ford f250
there is a safety switch on the the cluth pedal between the pedal and clutch master cylanderthis is under the dashreplace that switch and your problem should be solvedto test if this is the problem, put vehicle in neutral, chock wheelsopen hood and crossterminals on starter solenoid ,on left side of engine bayif this starts truck then the safety switch needs replacingOr you can hook together the 2 wires that is in the switch on the clutch pedal, but be sure that the truck is in neutral !!!, and start it !.
first, check your fuses. there is one fuse in the fuse panel that will stop the switch working next, turn ignition switch to on,do not start engine you should be able to put transmission in neutral you should be able to start engine and then shift transmission into gears this will generally fix the problem
Either the neutral lockout switch, an electrical connection or the keyswitch. If it's a stickshift it could be the clutch pedal lockout switch.
Try checking the floorboard to the left an above where the steering column passes through the floorboard. There's a reset button on top of the switch.
speed control switch inside trans
Is there a rocker switch just to the right of the headlight switch ?
Bad switch?
Sounds like ignition switch needs replacement
There isn't one!
Try putting gear shift into "neutral" and then shift out of 4x4
