There is no such part on a Chrysler Sebring.
It is inside the transmission, on the valve body. It is called a range sensor.

I had a recall notice for my 97. You may see if your car had a recall notice for the same thing. If it does, just take it to the dealer for them to look at it. If it is bad they will replace it and it would end up costing you nothing and no headache replacing it.
If it is an automatic it will not have a clutch safety switch it will have a neutral safety switch
