Driver's side of the transmission.
It is located on the side of the trans where the shifter lever is. also called neutral safety switch
Drivers side of the transmission, remove the electrical connection, remove two bolts, and remove. Make sure the line on the switch is lined up before bolting it up.
I would replace the neutral safety switch; Buy it from the Ford dealer where they can print out the picture of it along with its location. I hope this helps you. Mark
on the top of the steering column, close to the floor is the neutral safety switch. it is a plastic (usually white) piece with wires plugged into it. a screwdriver will remove two screws one on eash side. If your engine starts only in park or neutral then the neutral safety switch is ok. if your engine starts in any other gear then it needs to be replaced. hope this helps.
