Follow the exhaust manifold from the side of the engine and you should see it somewhere along the exhaust pipe.... I'm not an expert, but they are usually not hard to locate..Also...I have recently had a problem with the check engine light coming on.... The code was reading the engine was running too lean on the bank two side....Come to find out...It was the gas that was causing the problem..Once I refueled the light went out

The knock sesor is located, on your Isuzu 1290, at the front of the engine. The sensor screws into the engine. Wires connect the sensor to the senor light.

The knock sensor is located under the manifold on the rear of the engine near the fire wall. You will need to get a new manifold gasket as this will have to be replaced after the knock sensor is reached.
