yes it dose, it has a cam sensor and a crank sensor,
the number one cylinder on a Mitsubishi eclipse 4g63 will be closest to you cam gears. on the far right of the valve cover
On the drivers side of the valve cover...it's round and the plug for the harness points downwards.

That is the only electrical Item that is in the distributor. Remove the cap and rotor and you will see the cam senor.
