The Dipstick is located inside the Oil filler and can be accessed by removing the oil filler cap. The Oil Filler is located on the passengers side of the engine compartment next to the Oil filter (on left hand drive cars, on the driver's side for right hand drive).

As a point of interest, the 911 SC has a 'dry sump' system. You can only check the oil level properly when the car is on level ground, with engine running at its normal operating temperature.

There isn't one, remove the fill plug on the side of the transmission, if the oil runs out, it's full, if not add some.

How much oil does the 1980 Porsche hold?

A 1980 Porsche 911 SC with a 3.0L flat six motor holds about 11 quarts of oil. I would use a nice 20/50 oil. Make sure to check your oil only after your engine is up to operating temp and the engine is running. Don't check it while the engine is cold and off... What does Porsche SC mean?

i think it's Sports Coupe I've always read it stands for "Super Carrera", carried over from the 356's. Not all SC's were coupes, they also came in a targa top, just like the previous 911 models. That's a good guess though.

How much did a 1964 Porsche 356 sc cost?

I paid $5200.00 cash for a new Kelly Green 1964 356 SC Porsche in 1964. About the price of a new Cadilac at that time. I purchased it from Vasek Pollak's Porsche store in Manhattan Beach, CA. It may have been Hermosa or Redondo Beach. Those cities all ran togather and it has been a long time.

Is there such 911 model as 1974 911 SC Carrera. We have one according to the plate inside the hood compartment yet we are having a hard time confirming and finding info about this model?

No there is not, you must have gotten it confused. The first year SC was 1978. The first year Carrera was 1987.
