The oil drain plug is located slightly to the left (drivers side) on the under neath the oil pan. It requires a 17mm socket to remove. Remember to replace the metal washer for the drain plug and the rubber "O" ring on the oil filter before reinstalling. The 1998 BMW 750 IL 5.4 liter V12 requires synthetic oil. (8 Quarts). The oil filter is located inside the engine compartment (driver side) it is a canister type oil filter. Unscrew the lid and the oil filter will come out with the lid. You'll have to pull slightly on filter to separate it from the cap. Replace the "O" ring and pop the new filter on to the cap. The small hole opening matches up with oil cap. The larger hole opening will match up with bottom of the oil hosing canister. Pour oil into the oil canister housing about 1/2 to 3/4 full, then slowly insert the oil canister (filter and cap) back into the housing and screw back. Make sure the oil drain pug is secure and then pour your synthetic oil in. The oil cap is located directly in the middle of the engine compartment towards the front of the engine but rear of the radiator fan. It's square shaped with a picture of a oil can on it. Unscrew and remove, and pour in the new oil. When completed replace the oil cap, start the engine and let it run for five minutes. Check the oil dipstick for the oil level and add if necessary and replace. The oil dipstick is located on the right side (passenger) of the engine, towards the front.
The drain plug on a 1981 Virago 750 on the underneath part of the radiator. You will need to remove a bolt to drain it.
Remove the plug on the bottom of the oil pan. Allow the motor oil to drain out. Replace the plug to its original position. Fill the motor with oil.

The Filter is inside the round cap at the lower front of the motor. The drain plug is right below that. I usually remove the filter first and the remove the drain plug
On lower left side of engine, behind the water pump, it is a hex headed bolt.

It is a 2 stroke. There shouldn't be any oil to change. Just the lubricating oil in the fuel mixture.

It's on the bottom of the oil pan on the right hand side. Don't over tighten as the oil pan is soft metal and cracks easily if you crank the plug back in.
