The oil drain plug on a 1999 Dyna Wide Glide is located on the bottom of the engine. It is on the right side of the engine.
Look under the bike just behind the back side of the primary. It's not a bolt . there is an oil line w/ a plug in it.
There isn't one, you have to remove the pan to drain the fluid.
it may be one of the engines that dont have a drain plug exactly if it has a big plug on the bottom of the oil pan that the oil filter is in you drain it when you pull the filter (if the filter is built into the big plug on the bottom of the oil pan)
It may or may not have a drain plug for the radiator. Look at the bottom of the radiator usually on the passenger side of the car. It doesn't really look like an actual plug. It is more like a plastick wing nut, just unscrew it and it should drain. Some radiators don't have drain plugs at all. If it doesn't just take off the lower radiator hose from either the radiator or the engine block and do it that way i think the sunfire drain is on the driverside of radiator facing forward. it should be a 1/4 inch hole in center. you have to turn and pull to drain. be careful not to damage plug or radiator.
Oil drain plug is just to the right side of the oil pan from the filter. Heads up, it is pointed sideways so when the plug is removed oil squirts waaaaay out there. Good luck catching all of it.
16 mm
Plug gap for the Sportster 883 or 1200 should be .040
The drain plug is under the engine, near the kick stand.
Follow the hose that goes to the frame from the oil tank. Loosen the clamp and pull.
Look for the oil line coming off the oil tank connected to the bottom of the frame.Remove clamp, pull hose off and let drain.
The 82 had the plug on the bottom of the oil tank. No plug on cases.
Check out the pictures at the following website. The drain plug is toward the rear of the bike, in front of the rear tire. http://www.harleydavidsonmaintenance.com/sportster-oil-change.html
There is no transmission drain plug. Your transmission uses the same oil from the primary. Draining your primary drains your transmission.
the trans and primary fluid on a sportster are the same (1 qt sport trans) look for the drain under the derby cover.
recently bought a 883 up. to 1200 with no manuel need to know what kind of oil i should use and where to add this oil also where is the oil drain plug thanks
there is no need for an engine oil drain plug, because when the oil filter is removed and the oil is drained from the oil tank (by way of the oil tank drain hose located by/under the battery box) there is no oil that remains in the engine.
That plug is the drain plug for the primary and transmission oil supply.
The oil drain plug is at the bottom of the oil tank (for engine). Bottom rear of primary case for primary & transmission.
