Where is the oil filter located on the 2013 Buick Encore?

This is a brand new car so it must have come with an owners manual. Open that manual and you will find your answer.

Actually, it's not in the owners manual. It is accessed from above, not below the car. Open the hood and look on the driver's side of the engine towards the center of the engine compartment, You will see a black cap with an integrated 24mm hex nut. That's the cap of the oil filter. It takes a bare filter, not the usual type that is enclosed in a can.
