IF the truck has the 4 cylinder engine the oil filter is (facing the front of the truck) left side behind the alternator. it is hard to get to, not much room. I reach my hand down in near the left side of the battery and go back a few inches to feel for it on the side of the engine block. I unscrew it by hand then pull it out. it is a very tight squeez and oil does drip out of the filter. I tried from the underside of the truck but find I can get at it from the top just the same.
