The switch is screwed into an oil filter adapter located at the oil filter. You will recognize it by the wiring on it.

On the 4.0 liter OHV - V6 engine it is on the drivers side of the engine below the power steering pump

The temperature sending unit (controlling the temperature gauge) is located on the thermostat housing in front of the temperature sensor (sending data to the car´s computer). The plug´s color is dark brownish and has the 5th nub off center.
I assume this is the oil pressure switch. It's located on the oil filter housing. Unplug the connector and unscrew it.
The 1999 Ford Ranger low pressure air conditioning valve can be found on the air conditioning compressor. The low pressure valve will be labeled as the low pressure port.

the oil pressure sending unit on 1997 and up to 99 wrangler tjs and saharas are right above the oil filter i believe which is located on the left hand side of the block.
