The oil pressure sensor is on the front side of the engine (in front of the oil filter/oil filter level). It has a plastic clip on the front and a threaded end like a spark plug. If you remove the oil pressure sensor the OIL WILL LEAK OUT! SO, REPLACE IT WHEN YOU CHANGE YOUR OIL.
Replace sensor with new one and it does not need to be screwed in all the way (some of the threads will show FYI). Make sure you plug sensor in, put in new oil filter and oil plug back in oil pan. Clean the areas thoroughly and put in the oil.
Fresh oil and a new sensor, no more oil light on anymore!! It just takes a little time so be patient. Like I said, Ford made it kind of hard to work on this SUV.
Are you referring to the (oil pressure sensor) or the (oil pressure regulator)?

top of the fuel tank
R H REAR OF THE ENGINE
the sensor is located next to the oil filter on the oil filter casting.
Can it make the vehicle kill or not stay running what does it actually do.
Left lower on engine block.
Make sure you are looking for the THE OIL LEVEL SENSOR and not the oil pressure switch. Oil level sensor should still be located on the oil Pan.
If you are referring to the "fuel tank pressure sensor", it is located on top of the Gas tank. The tank will need to be lowered or removed to access it. TechJK ----------------------
