I believe that is near the oil filter
On my 1995 Ford Explorer, with the 4.0 L OHV engine, the sending unit for the oil pressure guage is located just below the power steering pump.
The fuel sending unit for your fuel gauge is in the fuel tank with the electric fuel pump
the sending unit is located near the bottom of the block on the left ( driver side) it is on the same harness as the oil level switch
On a 1996 Ford Explorer : ( if you have the 4.0 liter EFI , V6 engine ) The oil pressure sending unit for the gauge is on the drivers side of the engine , below the power steering pump )
The sending unit for the temperature guage on a Ford 4.0 L OHV engine is in the intake manifold just to the left of the thermostat housing when you are standing at the front of the vehicle. The larger sending unit on the right is for the EEC system.
