It is located on the driver side exhust pipe next to the manifold pointed twards the cab or the transmission
screwed into your exhaust manifold.

The speed sensor, on a 2001 Honda Civic, is attached to the front drive wheel. The drive wheel is the front wheel on the passenger side.
The vehicle speed sensor for your speedometer is on your transmission for 2 wheel drive, and on your transfer case for the 4 wheel drive. If it is on a AWD (All Wheel Drive) there is no source that I can find to give this location.
Under the steering wheel
On a two wheel drive model the sensor is located on the top of the transmission. On four wheel drives the sensor is on the transfer case.

If it is a 2-wheel drive then it is on the transmission tail shaft housing. If it is a 4-wheel drive then it is on the transfur case.
You didn't mention if it were 2 wheel or 4 wheel drive, need more info.

The four wheel drive light is most Likely staying on when your Isuzu Rodeo is in two wheel drive because of a bad sensor. A licensed auto technician would be able to replace this for you.
