That is basically a Ford thing and the inertia switch (fuel cut off switch) would be located in different places depending on what model you have.
On a modern motorcycle the petcock (unless in prime mode) is opened by engine vacuum. So if the engine is not running there is no fuel flow. There is also a roll-over valve which, as the name suggests, cuts the fuel on the event of the bike going shiny side down. Both these devices are either fitted to the tank or in very close proximity to it.
As far as i can check, all UK models petrol and diesel are fitted with a fuel cut of switch. ______________________________________________ ALL models are equipped such. All cars now.
