under dash on driver side in center by brake
if it has the plug in the back of the truck for trailer brakes then it is under your dash. it should be a female plug. about in the middle of the dash(more twards the left) you can get a plug from ford that plugs right in and it will have leads off of it to wire right to your brake controller. makes it super easy

It all depends on if your truck came with a factory installed tow package. If it did the hook up is in the area by the steering column. The way you can tell is look at your hitch and if it has a 7 blade outlet that has a cable that goes back into the chasis you should be good.

It is under the dash. I believe I remember it to be the two plug module above the parking brake.

It doesn't.... By the e-brake under the dash, there is a bundle of wires (4) that are blunt cut and taped together. These get spliced to the brake controller wires by function, not by color.
