if you are losing your antifreeze its probably a head gasket or the heads are warped if not its probably the heater core
Follow the upper rad hose from the rad to the engine and at the engine there is a thermostat housing. When replacing the thermostat, make sure the spring goes toward the engine. The thermostat is located under the rad. cap from the top rad hose..
It is under the housing where the rad cap is attached. It is under the housing where the rad cap is attached.
the overflow res. cap is the radiator cap on the 97 cavalier
As of July 2014, the market cap for Rite Aid Corporation (RAD) is $7,231,627,432.08.
there is a tool for the radiator to check for leaks.unscrew rad. cap and put tool cap on rad. and pump air into rad. and it will push fluid out the hole.there is your leak
It is not the same thing. Filler cap is on the plastic overflow tank with the plastic flip over cap. The rad cap is a pressure cap on the radiator and it is made of metal and it unscrews
First I had grey gunk forming on the top of my rad, just under my rad cap, then after a while upon opening the rad cap I had milky fluid around the ledge where the rad caps tightens on to in the rad...hope this helps. BTW - this was a 2001 Dodge Dakota 4.7 Liter. Cheers!
how do you remove and replace the distributor cap on a 97 chevy cavalier?. I can not get to it.
ok sounds like a faulty radiator or even the radiator cap or and airlock....try filling the rad and ventiing it as you fill by squeezing the top rad hose and fit a new rad cap also then see what happens ..
I believe your coolant reservoir has a thread on style cap which is the " rad " cap
