under dash on passenger side inside the cab
The heater core on a Dodge Dakota is inside the HVAC housing, under the dash.
Inside the cab. Passenger side. Inspect the heater ducts Look for five wires going to the resistor. Should be two screws holding it in.
Inside the evaporator case.

in the dash but check the resistor 1st the blow e.z. it is in engin comp. passinger side on heater core lines it looks just like a water heater fuse
I have changed resistor a d blower motor still not working, maybe i missed a fuse or could the control switch not work?
Under the dash, far passenger side.
A 1998 Dakota does not have a ballast resistor.
Blower motor resistor assembly is located under dash board on passenger side.
The heater motor resistor should be located on the passenger side. In behind the glove box. Look underneath and remove three plastic pins on the panel cover. Their will be two wiring harnesses leading to the resistor. located about the centre of heater housing.
The Blower resistor should be tested which is located near the blower motor, the resistor is probably faulty.
It is located behind the passenger side dashboard. The dashboard has to be removed to replace.
