Underneath the middle row seat on the outside of the car.
- Pull the mats out of the car (middle row seat/passenger car)
- You will find a little cut in the main carpet.
- Pull the piece of carpet up and pull the padding underneath it up as well and you will see a large bolt.
- Open the trunk of the car
- On the right side behind the break lights, you will find a little compartment with two twist locks. Turn the twist locks and remove the cover.
- Remove the tire iron and other jack accessories as well as the special bolt adapter provided by Toyota
- Use the bolt adaptor on the bolt under the mat from step 3 above and loosen until the spare tire is lowered. Take a peak under the car and you will see it down.
