If it's a ax-15 manual it will be near the rear of the transmission on the left side of it. The auto should be the same. If you have a 4x4 I think it is mounted on the transfer case.
The speedometer sensor is probably bad.
Where is the speedometer sensor located in a Jeep Liberty 2002?
Probably the speed sensor on the transmission.
The speedometer/ odometer signals come from the ABS sensors. There is a sensor at each wheel bearing.
A 1993 Jeep Grand Cherokee does not have a speedometer cable. The speedometer signal comes from a sensor on the transmission or transfer case.
It does not have a mass airflow sensor.
The fact that you drive a Jeep Cherokee has nothing to do with your speedometer problem. The fact that you have a broken speedometer cable or sensor has everything to do with your problem. It is just about worn out. Soon it will stop working. You need to replace it. It can not be fixed.
It is probably a bad speed sensor. The speed sensor is located on the transmission and sends a signal to the speedometer. It acts like a speedometer cable only sending electronic pulses instead of turning like a cable does.
It is inside the distributor.
The oil sensor is located above the oil filter next to the distributor.
A 2000 Jeep does not have a speedometer cable.
above the filter
