Depends on the motor (5.0 or 2.3) but both are located on the right side. On the 2.3 it is directly under the exhaust manifold. Same with the 5.0, but you will have to actually remove the header on the 5.0.
I had a 5.0 with longtube headers and had to take it all apart to get to the starter, but I also have a 2.3 and its a fairly easy job to replace.

If I remember correctly , on my 1991 LX 5.0 L it was in the rear of the trunk under a removable rubber " plug " , your 1993 should be the same
LX was a trim level for the mustang, slotted below the GT in the lineup
