Most starter motors are located in the bell housing.
They mesh with the ring gear fitted to the engines flywheel.
Starter motors are cylindrical in shape and are about 9" in length
Like an electric motor--usually located at the lower rear end of the engine--follow the + battery cable
look were the motor meets the tranmission
Looks like a small electrical motor usually located at the lower rear end of the engine
Like a cylinder with a smaller cylinder on to of it. It will be sittind sideways
Open the hood and look straight down on the front of the motor. It is in front of the motor by the fan.
Bottom, passenger side of motor.
Driver side of the engine. look reward of the motor mount.
At the end of the starter motor shaft. Remove the starter and look in the opening that faced the transmission and you will see the gear.
If the vehicle is a Front Wheel Drive vehicle, the starter will be located in the front lower part of the engine. Just look for a large black wire that is attached to the motor and just follow the wire and it will lead you directly to the starter motor. Good Luck.
the starter is attached to the motor under the flywheel. look for the battery cable going from the solonoid to the motor and that will be the starter
It looks like a starter. But then ive seen a lot of them. On the back of the motor mounted to the transmission. 2 bolts and its out.
on starters that have the solenoid mounted on them, the link is a fork like piece between the solonoid and the starter clutch, which is on the motor shaft. on starters that dont have the solenoid on the starter, it just has a overrunning clutch on the motor shaft
