Behind the Jug. Under the carb. Remove two oil lines right side of motor {keep track of were bolts came from} One oil line is held down by starter bolt. Take out two bolts holding starter in and bolt on left back of motor that holds oil line. Now you can pull out the starter. You might have to use a big screwdriver to pry it out a little. OK i forgot that you well have to turn your carb, just lossen bouth boot clamps and remove overflow hose turn top of carb to right side of machine. And take +wire off batt. {FIRST give good wash down to get dirt away from starter and tip machine to the right to drain. Dont need dirt in oil}Had to live wire on starter on mine because stud was turnning.Tock it off after i got starter out of machine
